film therapy?

While I'm recovering from Vacation Bible School and preparing a message for tomorrow, take a look at this article at - The mind therapy that prescribes movies. It's about a Pennsylvania psychologist who uses films to help patients "open up" or develop coping strategies in a non-threatening environment.

I've always loved film as a medium, and I know films have great value in helping the church fulfill her purposes. In fact, I used a series of film clips to introduce messages in a series on miracles I did earlier this year. But I've never considered their use in pastoral counselling before... hmmm... Any of you have thoughts on the possibilities or pitfalls?
